Dr. Patti Tracey | Peterborough

Registered Nurse, Dr. Tracey, completed PhD in Nursing, University of Toronto, with a Collaborative PhD in Global Health and an International Nursing PhD Collaborative from the University of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Spain. 

She currently holds sessional faculty positions (lecturer/clinical instructor) with the Trent Fleming School of Nursing. Trent University. Dr. Tracey’s area of research focuses on the role and impact of North American NGO (non-governmental organizations) led Short- Term Medical Missions in LMICs (low- and middle-income countries) with a focus on improving quality and safe medication practices.  She completed a 4-year PQMD/Americares sponsored initiative in Malawi, Honduras and the Philippines to promote the development and implementation of best practice guidelines by host countries. During the final year of the project, the feasibility of guidelines were evaluated (study results below). Biannually, she provides clinical instruction to undergraduate nursing students who wish to complete an International Community Health placement in Central America.

Tina Le | Toronto

A passionate health care professional with over 25 years serving in the area of population health, academics and research. Her value for improved access and equite in health care and compassion for people os the driver behind her tireless work locally and abroad. Partnered with academic institutions and government, she strives to continue to deliver on improvements in global health care. Tina is a Registered Nurse and holds a Masters of Science in Nursing (MScN) degree. She lives in Toronto with her husband and has 2 boys. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and reading.

Sharee Bhaduri | Cobourg

Lawyer and Teacher. Sharee presently practices law at the Northumberland Legal Centre. Her passion is social justice. Sharee advocates for those precariously employed with their workers’ rights. In addition, she practices Administrative law and assists the vulnerable population with Social Assistance and Housing matters. As a teacher, Sharee provides Public Legal Education Seminars in Northumberland County and works with disadvantaged students in helping them learn about their employment rights. Sharee also volunteers in with other community organizations. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog at the Cobourg Beach.

Laura Ramirez | Toronto

Laura Ramirez is a dedicated human and labour rights advocate and educator with over two decades of experience advancing social justice and equitable development. She has worked extensively across the Americas to design and lead development programs that empower workers, women, and peasant communities to improve their living and working conditions.

As a Programme Officer at the Steelworkers Humanity Fund, Laura developed and managed international initiatives focused on collective bargaining, health and safety, gender equity, and alternative economies in Indigenous and rural communities. She also co-chaired the Americas Policy Group, promoting policy dialogue and human rights advocacy between partner organizations and government officials.
