Tikal National Park – step back in time as you discover the ancient Maya city, a UNESCO world heritage site surrounded by lush rainforest.On our educational tours, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the spirit and resilience that the people of Central America and Mexico exude. You will have meaningful conversations, and make life long connections to our projects. Having the opportunity to see first-hand how your donation impacts communities and helps them overcome the challenges they face can be life-changing.
In 2025, our educational tour took us to Chiapas, Mexico to visit our partner DESMI and learn about their food sovereignty work. The tour began with a beautiful and touching Mayan traditional welcome ceremony, followed by presentations about DESMI’s work with Indigenous farmers. The tour concluded with visits to cultural sites and museums, as well as activities that provided insights into Mexico’s rich culture, political landscape, and socio-economic context.
