Citizen engagement for better social policies and labour conditions for workers in El Salvador (Phase Two)

The main goal of this project is to strengthen the capacity of the Salvadoran workers to elaborate, discuss, and present viable proposals to improve the socio-economic and labour conditions in El Salvador.  

Key Achievements 

• 6 public statements were coordinated within the Salvadoran labour movement at the national level about the right to decent employment.

• FEASIES 2011-2015 Strategic Plan was developed and ratified amongst their members.

• Work plans were prepared for the Education, Legal, Communications, and Policy branches of the Federation in alignment with the Strategic Vision of FEASIES.

•Implementation of promotional activities to increase the membership at the national level including the publication and distribution of posters, business cards, and briefing documents on issues of interest to workers – within the workplace and Free-Trade zones (Zonas Francas).
